Professor Lind performs hundreds of spinal surgeries per year for degenerative conditions including disc prolapses, stenosis, spondylolisthesis and ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament. He performs decompressions such as microdiscectomy for disc prolapse, laminectomy for stenosis as well as complex reconstructions and fusions.
As part of his specialisation in blood vessel disorders and tumour surgery, Prof Lind treats blood vessel malformations and tumours of the spine and spinal cord.
Prof Lind refers on to colleagues occipito-cervical fusion (joining skull to spine), and those cases best suited to a transabdominal approach to the lumbar spine (anterior lumbar interbody fusion and anterior lumbar arthroplasty).
